As part of my science unit, we have been studying the parts of plants. In class, we also learned the Kanji (the adopted Chinese characters) for big and small. The students have been working on creating their original vocabulary booklet for our science lesson.
- “Big” = 大きい (o o ki i)
- “Small” = 小さい (chi i sa i)
- “Tane” = たね (seed)
- “Leaf” = はっぱ (ha ppa)
- “Flower” = はな (ha na)
Please use this video to practice listening and read aloud at home by using their own booklet. It is perfectly fine for you to simply listen to this video. The students will improve their listening skills through watching this video multiple times at home. You and your child may also read along with me by repeating, which will help them to improve their oral language.
