Hello! This is video file is a modification of “I went walking’ by Sue Williams and illustrated by Julie Vivas. There is no Japanese version of this book, so I simplified and modified the contents to fit the Japanese lesson for my 1st graders.
The students are currently learning following phrases in Japanese through this book:
-“I went walking.” => “おさんぽに、行きました。(Osanpo ni ikimashita)”
-“What did you see?” => “なにを 見た。(Nani wo mita?)”
-“I saw a (animal with color).” => “〜を 見た。(animal with color) wo mita.”
Please use this video to practice listening read aloud at home. It is perfectly fine for you to simply listen to this video. The students will improve their listening skills through watching this video multiple times at home. You and your child may also read along with me by repeating, which will help them to improve their oral language. Thank you!
